Broward College is the oldest and largest provider of higher education in Broward County. Since the college first opened its doors in 1960, its mission has been to provide a high-quality education that is affordable and accessible to all. From 2010 through 2015, Broward College contributed more than $4.2 million to nonprofit groups in the community through sponsorships, memberships, in-kind donations and employee giving. Broward College helps students move from middle school to high school and from high school to postsecondary education by focusing on college and career readiness. The school supports organizations that increase the number of low-income, diverse, military and internationally qualified students who enroll in and complete postsecondary education. The college’s philanthropic giving includes supporting HANDY, the Broward Urban League, Leadership Broward and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County.
